The media is a wonderful thing. When Chance’s story went out we received literally hundres of calls and letters. Some were contacts from his past that recognized him or his circumstances. One such call was from Cindi and David, owners of Camp Bow Wow in Kentwood, MI.
Chance has had a couple of families, his first family brought him to Camp Bow Wow regularly. So this week we brought Chance back to visit his old friends. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot Chance was excited. He led *me* into the facility and greeted Cindi and David. What a great place, it was clear he had happy memories of the camp. We played for an hour, took a few photographs and promised to stay in touch. Perhaps Chance’s new family will make the camp a regular visit for him again.
A big thank you to Cindi, David, their daughter Amanda, son Brian, and their great staff for caring about Chance and taking such good care of him.
Wow! It’s hard to imagine that it seems he went from a wonderful family to “hell” and now he’s back in the wonderful. It’s also great that after the beatings, he can still remember/recognize the good (Camp Bow Wow) from his past.
As we stuff Rusty’s (very spoil dog) stocking and wrap his gifts, we remember the less fortunate animals and can only hope that owners will be more responsible in 2009. We also want to wish Chance’s family and those at Wishbone Pet Rescue a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I am so thankful again that Chance was saved. What a great doggie!! Merry Christmas to all at Wishbone and Chance’s foster family! Love the updates and pics. When can Chance be adopted?
