Chancey’s Update as of August 14, 2010
Here is the latest update we have on the little man as of this afternoon….today makes day 2 on IV fluids which are being used to help flush out the toxins. The chronic kidney damage that he has, is taking a big toll on him. They drew more blood this morning and found that there was a slight decrease in his bun, creatinine & phosphorus levels. However the levels are still quite high…too high, which is also causing him to have high blood pressure too. And although all the levels are extremely high, he seemed to have a bit more energy this morning. And the drs were nice enough to take him off his IV for about an hour so he could have a little play time with mommy & daddy. Attached are a few photos of the little man from this week
We ask for your thoughts and prayers and hope for one more miracle, to be able to have him come home from the hospital very soon. Bear and Bronco are missing their baby brother too
Sincerely, Chancey’s Mom & Dad

Get well soon, Chance! You can overcome this bump in the road, I know you can! Sending prayers.

Wishing Chance all the best!! He has been so lucky to found a GREAT, loving family to spend the rest of his life with. You guys are awesome people!!!
I have been thinking about him so much since reading that he was back in the hospital. When you can please let us know how he is doing (I know it has only been 3 days but I can’t stop thinking about him). He sounds like an amazing dog…how many others could have survived what he has. You are amazing people for taking on such responsibility.
I have followed Chancy since I first heard about him. You all have been wonderful for him and I am praying for a miracle for him. Bruno says “hi” even tho he doesn’t know him! God bless.
Praying Chance and family to pull through this. He is such a fighter given all that he has went through, I know he can fight this as well. My thoughts are with him at this difficult time. Take care and be well!
Brian and Stacy, so sorry to hear Chancey’s struggle, but he’s strong willed and has great parents to help him through this. He’s in good hands @ MSU, Keep us posted, we are all sending prayer your way. Tell him he needs to get better to play with Truck!
I am so very sorry to hear about Chance. i never met him but I loved him and followed his life from the first time I heard what had been done to him. I hope the person who did this to him is proud of himself for causing this loving dog the pain he went through. But I am so glad he had you to give him a wonderful albeit, short life. He certainly was happy at his new home with you.
